Dr M opens library on ex-premiers
PUTRAJAYA: A comprehensive collection of books, speeches, documents and information on the four former prime ministers is available at the Perdana Library, the core project of the Perdana Leadership
Foundation.
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad officially opened the library located at Precinct 8 here yesterday.
The Perdana Library's compilation on Tunku Abdul Rahman,
Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Hussein Onn and Dr Mahathir are in the form of monographs, news clippings, sound recordings and video footage, lectures and interviews, policy papers, slides and photographs, poems, memoirs and essays.
The library also offers online access and loans through http://Iibrary.perdana.org.my :8 000
The Perdana Leadership
Foundation is established with
contributions from 26 companies and individuals.
Each of them donated RM1mil, except for Petronas which contributed more than RM3mil.
In addressing the gathering, board of trustees chairman Tan Sri Azizan Zainul Abidin said the library was modelled after the Scripps Library, a private sector-funded library on national policies in the United States.
